Klopfenstein Votes in Favor of Veto Override
COLUMBUS – State Representative Roy Klopfenstein (R-Haviland) today made the following statement in response to the Ohio House overriding Governor DeWine’s veto of House Bill 68, the SAFE Act and Save Women’s Sports Act.
"Today, my colleagues and I fulfilled our commitment to safeguard Ohio's children by voting to uphold House Bill 68, overriding the Governor's veto. This legislation is designed to maintain fairness in women's sports, safeguarding our daughters' safety as they strive to achieve their dreams," said Klopfenstein. "Moreover, our children do not need surgery and drugs to define themselves. We should allow children to enjoy their childhood and not coerce them into irreversible medical choices that entail lifelong treatment."
The veto override of the SAFE Act will now be considered by the Ohio Senate.
