Rep. Baker appointed to OneOhio Recovery Foundation Board
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Rachel Baker (D-Cincinnati) today announced her appointment to the OneOhio Recovery Foundation Board. This committee was created at the direction of Ohio’s state and local leaders to distribute 55% of funds Ohio receives from the pharmaceutical industry to invest in opioid misuse treatment, recovery, and prevention efforts.
“As a nurse, I see firsthand the devastating impact of the opioid epidemic in Ohio,” said Rep. Baker. “I am looking forward to working with the experts on this board and local organizations across our state to support addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery.”
The OneOhio Recovery Foundation is governed by a 29-member board, including 19 members selected by regional groups that partner with the Foundation in identifying local organizations to receive funds, four members selected by leaders of the Ohio General Assembly, 5 members selected by the governor, and one member selected by the attorney general.
