State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) today issued the following statement on his appointment to the Joint Education Oversight Committee (JEOC), a bipartisan, bicameral body that oversees emerging education policy issues in Ohio:
“I am honored to accept this special committee appointment. The issues facing Ohio’s education system have always been among my top priorities, both in my professional career and as an elected official. I look forward to working with my fellow committee members to examine current education issues, and I’m confident we can provide the public and our colleagues in the General Assembly good advice on any education issue we tackle.”
Rep. Robinson has worked tirelessly to advocate for students and improving education opportunities throughout his career, and currently serves as senior vice president at City Year, an organization that works to improve graduation rates at participating high schools across the U.S.
