Rep. Robinson announces District 6 Town Hall Tour
State Rep. Phil Robinson (D-Solon) today announced the beginning of a new series of town hall meetings he is holding throughout House District 6. The first of these town halls will be held on October 30th at 7:00 PM at Broadview Heights City Hall.
The District 6 Town Hall tour is part of Rep. Robinson’s effort to reach out to the communities of District 6 and fulfill his goal of holding a town hall in all 17 communities of the district. The goal is to hold one town hall per month over the next year. For 2019, town halls will be held in Broadview Heights, Gates Mills, and Glenwillow. Future announcements will give details on the 2020 town halls.
“Whether you live in the largest cities or the smallest villages of District 6, everyone should have the opportunity to voice their priorities and concerns,” said Rep. Robinson. “As I have said before, all elected officials must do everything possible to engage with their constituents in order for democracy to work at its best.”
Rep. Robinson will discuss the state budget, bipartisan priorities, other legislative updates, and local community concerns for working people and families in District 6. These town halls will provide constituents with a legislative update, as well as an open forum to ask questions and identify community concerns that can be addressed through state government.
Rep. Robinson has already held town halls in the communities of Solon, Lyndhurst, Chagrin Falls, Brecksville, and Walton Hills in August and September. These town halls were part of the Ohio Promise Tour, House Democrats’ legislative town hall series following the unveiling of the Ohio Promise.
