Rep. Grim Issues Comments Regarding Misguided Rules on Gender Affirming Care for Transgender Adults
COLUMBUS - State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today denounces Governor Mike DeWine’s proposed administrative rules regarding gender affirming care for transgender adults.
“These proposed administrative rules would severely limit access to lifesaving, science-based care for grown adults in our state. The majority party and the governor continue to limit bodily autonomy to fit their agenda of what is ‘right,’ ignoring the pleas of the communities it will actually affect,” said Rep. Grim. “I have submitted comments today expressing my deep concern regarding these proposed rules. I hope the department will give them full and fair consideration.”
The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services is accepting comments regarding proposed rule changes until today, January 19th at 5pm. Comments can be submitted here.
