Rep. Grim Celebrates the Expansion of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Across Ohio Thanks to Federal Funded Program

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today applauds the announcement of 27 new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to be built along seven of Ohio’s interstate corridors thanks largely to $18 million dollars of federal funding from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Program.

“The transition toward electric vehicles will be a long and intricate process, so I am grateful to President Biden for establishing the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program and for selecting Ohio to receive this critical funding. As Ranking Member of the Transportation Committee, I am committed to finding new and innovative ways to upgrade and improve Ohio’s infrastructure for the benefit of all Ohioans,” said Rep. Grim.

Ohio will now be a national leader in developing charging stations for public use. Ohio is the first state in the nation to develop charging stations that will be funded by President Joe Biden’s NEVI Program.
