Rep. Grim Appointed to Ohio Rail Development Commission

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced her appointment to the Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC). The mission of the ORDC is to plan, promote, and implement the improved movement of goods and people faster and safer on a rail transportation network connecting Ohio to the nation.

“I am grateful to have been appointed to the Ohio Rail Development Commission. As the state with the third largest rail system in the country, maintaining the quality of our rail infrastructure is crucial to our economy. I look forward to working with my fellow members to ensure Ohio’s rail network remains a model for the nation,” said Rep. Grim.

The Ohio Rail Development Commission is an independent commission within the Ohio Department of Transportation and represents the state in non-regulatory interactions with the railroad industry. The ORDC consists of 15 members, including four non-voting members from the Ohio General Assembly.
