Rep. Grim Announces More Than $1M In Funding for Toledo Homeless Crisis Response Programs
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced that Beach House, Catholic Charities – Diocese of Toledo, Inc., Toledo Community Service Center, and TLC Homelessness Board have collectively received $1,098,100 from The Ohio Department of Development to assist Ohioans experiencing homelessness by finding both temporary and permanent housing options.
“Access to housing is a human right, and no Ohioan should go without. Housing is the first step to ensure our fellow community members can access other effective support services. I am thrilled that these local Lucas County organizations will now have additional funding to expand their reach and services,” said Rep. Grim.
Beach House, Catholic Charities – Diocese of Toledo, Inc., Toledo Community Service Center, and TLC Homelessness Board plan to collectively serve well over 1,000 Lucas County residents during the 2-year period of the grant. These services include homelessness prevention assistance, rapid re-housing assistance, and permanent housing assistance.
