Rep. Grim Announces More Than $1.5M in Funding for City of Toledo
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced that The City of Toledo has received $1,622,107 from The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) to update the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge on Cherry Street and install a multi-use path over the Maumee River.
“This allotted funding from ODOT will provide the opportunity to appreciate and maintain legacy architecture like the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge while also providing needed funding for the development of a new walking path. This multi-use path will be of benefit to residents across Toledo,” said Rep. Grim.
This will be the first time the city is receiving funding from the state’s Local Major Bridge Program.
