Rep. Grim Announces Funding for University of Toledo Infrastructure Development
COLUMBUS - State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced that the Controlling Board has approved funding of over $900K for the University of Toledo. This funding will contribute to the replacement of underground utility infrastructure at the University.
“The University of Toledo acts as an important anchor for the greater Toledo community, I am happy to report on their continued development. The securing of these Controlling Board funds is essential for the university and for assuring its continued growth for years to come,” said Rep. Grim.
The project provides the replacement of underground steam supply and condensate return lines on the Main Campus, as well as, replacement of failed equipment, valves, and traps within the centralized plant (Savage Hall Steam Plant) and along the looped underground systems.
The campus underground water, sewer, heating and cooling loops will have improved reliability, as the project will restore a secondary pathway for systems to support campus buildings.
The University will be receiving a total of $922,356.
