Rep. Grim Announces $15K for Local Hazardous Material Training

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo) today announced that the City of Toledo’s Division of Environment Services has received $15,000 from the Public Utilities Commission for the funding of training for first responders on best practices regarding incidents related to hazardous materials.
“It is essential that our first responders can best serve our community regardless of what type of emergency may arise in the future. This training will ensure that local officials are prepared to handle any emergency in a way that prioritizes both the community and their own safety when dealing with hazardous materials,” said Rep. Grim.
