COLUMBUS – State Representatives Michael J. Skindell (D-Lakewood) and Sedrick Denson (D-Cincinnati) Tuesday introduced House Bill (HB) 740 to repeal a provision in state law allowing First Energy to keep excessive profits rather than returning the money to electric customers through a rate adjustment. The pricing provision was added as an amendment to the state two-year budget, House Bill 166, which was signed into law in July 2019.

COLUMBUS—Ohio House Democrats today introduced House Bill (HB) 738 – legislation to repeal HB 6, a controversial corporate bailout legislation at the center of an FBI investigation into an alleged $60 million public corruption scheme led by Republican Speaker Larry Householder (R-Glenford), the largest corruption and money-laundering scheme ever in Ohio. Democrats began calling for Householder’s resignation as news broke last week.

COLUMBUS – State Representative Michael J. Skindell (D-Lakewood) today introduced a resolution to amend the Ohio House Rules to require all persons over the age of two, including any member, to cover their mouth and nose with a mask or cloth face covering while attending a meeting of the House or meeting of any standing committee, subcommittee or select committee of the House.  Exceptions would be made for a person unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition or the person is otherwise exempted by the Ohio Department of Health guidance.
