Rep. Lawson-Rowe, House Dems Call on Governor DeWine to Veto Anti-Economic, Anti-Workers' Rights Senate Bill 1

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Meredith Lawson-Rowe (D-Reynoldsburg) today along with other members of the Ohio House Democratic Caucus sent a letter to Governor Mike DeWine respectfully requesting he veto Senate Bill (SB) 1, the Higher Education Destruction Act.

“Senate Bill 1 will destroy higher education in Ohio as we know it,” said Rep. Lawson-Rowe. “I plead with Governor DeWine to veto this dangerous bill so that our young people will stay in Ohio and our public institutions of higher learning will continue to thrive and prosper.”

In trying to solve problems that do not exist, SB 1 creates new issues that will increase costs, stifle growth, and prevent Ohio’s young adults from reaching their full potential.
