Rep. Lawson-Rowe Announces $75K for Hamilton Township Park Renovation

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Meredith Lawson-Rowe (D-Reynoldsburg) today announced that Hamilton Township will receive a $75,000 grant for the renovation of its local park, funded through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
“I’m thrilled to see Hamilton Township benefit from this funding, which will help improve recreational opportunities for our community,” said Rep. Lawson-Rowe. “This investment will create a safer and more welcoming space for families to enjoy for years to come.”
The grant is part of the NatureWorks program, established under Section 1557.06 of the Ohio Revised Code. The program, authorized by HB 790 (120th General Assembly), allocates funding to local governments across Ohio based on a per capita formula. This year, local governments in 64 counties submitted 142 applications requesting a total of $6,765,385 in funding. After a thorough evaluation, 76 projects were selected for funding, with $2,967,910 awarded in total.
