Rep. Lauren McNally Elected Secretary for Ohio Democratic Women's Legislative Caucus for 135th General Assembly
COLUMBUS– State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) today announced that she was elected Secretary of the Ohio Democratic Women’s Legislative Caucus (ODWLC) for the 135th General Assembly. The full executive committee is:
- Chair - Rep. Mary Lightbody (D-Westerville)
- Vice Chair - Rep. Munira Yasin Abdullahi (D-Columbus)
- Policy Chair - Rep. Michele Grim (D-Toledo)
- Secretary - Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown)
- Treasurer - Rep. Rachel Baker (D-Cincinnati)
“It’s an honor to join my colleagues in leading this important Caucus at the Statehouse,” said Rep. McNally. “Ohio thrives when Ohio’s women are thriving, and we have a lot of work to do to strengthen opportunities for all women in our state.”
The Ohio Democratic Women’s Legislative Caucus membership consists of the women members of the Ohio Senate and the Ohio House of Representatives including Minority Leader Allison Russo, former ODWLC Policy chair, Assistant Minority Whip Tavia Galonski, Former Vice Chair and Senators Catherine Ingram and Paula Hicks-Hudson, who have successfully moved from the House to the Senate.
The mission of the Ohio Democratic Women's Legislative Caucus is to develop and pass policies and legislation that improve the lives of Ohio women and their families; to identify and support emerging women leaders by serving as mentors; to educate and empower women and increase women's involvement in public life and in the Ohio General Assembly.
