Rep. Humphrey announces committee assignments for the 134th General Assembly
Rep. Latyna M. Humphrey (D-Columbus) released the following statement today on their committee assignments for the 134th General Assembly:
“I am grateful to have been placed in such vital committees, and I am so excited to get to work for the people in my community and across the state of Ohio. It is my hope that my colleagues and I will work to build a better Ohio by restoring the promise of better lives and brighter futures for all of us, not just for some of us. I look forward to making our communities better and stronger than ever,” said Rep. Humphrey.
Rep. Humphrey will serve on the following committees:
- Financial Institutions
- State and Local Government
- Armed Services and Veterans Affairs
Committee meetings are crucial to the formation of laws. All bills must have at least two hearings in committee to allow opponents and proponents to present testimony and voice opinions on potential changes to bills before they are considered by the full House.
Committees are open to the public and held any time before or after House floor sessions. The public can watch committees live by going to www.ohiohouse.gov or www.ohiochannel.org.
