Representative Ritter Announces Economic Development Project in Buchtel Village
COLUMBUS—State Representative Kevin Ritter (R-Marietta) is pleased to highlight a project that will directly spur economic development in the 94th House District.
Hocking Hills Garment Center, LLC, in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development, and the Athens County Economic Development Council, recently announced an investment of over $140,000 to expand its Buchtel Village facility, which will result in the creation of 20 new jobs.¿ The investment is supported by a $50,000 JobsOhio Small Business Grant, a program that works to uplift small businesses in Ohio that are owned by minorities, women, veterans and people with disabilities.
“I am very pleased to see job creation and positive economic development throughout the 94th House District and the greater Appalachian region through projects like this,” said Ritter. “Small businesses are pillars of our communities.”
Hocking Hills Garment Center is a women-owned industrial sewing school and garment manufacturing facility whose mission is to return quality garment manufacturing to the United States.
