Ohio House Passes Chief Steven DiSario Act
COLUMBUS – The Ohio House of Representatives passed the Chief Steven DiSario Act announced bill sponsor State Rep. Kevin Miller (R-Newark).
The Chief Steven DiSario Act, House Bill 100, prohibits manufactured home park operators, condominium associations, and landlords from restricting the display of the thin blue line flag.
“The thin blue line flag is used to commemorate fallen law enforcement officers and support those who still protect and serve our communities,” said Miller. “Those who choose to display the flag should be allowed to do so. The flag is not a political statement, but rather a sign of support and a call to duty.”
Under this legislation, the thin blue line flag will be added to a list of other protected flags including the American flag, State of Ohio flag, the POW/MIA flag, and other military flags.
The Chief Steven DiSario Act now heads to the Ohio Senate for consideration.
