Rep. Brent Says ICE Raids Will Fuel Local Racial Profiling

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Juanita O. Brent (D-Cleveland) today expressed humanity concerns for the three individuals apprehended by ICE this past Sunday in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.

“As a daughter of an immigrant, I understand the complexities and fears that accompany such events,” said Rep Brent. “This legalized form of racial profiling makes it imperative that the U.S. immigration and customs provide communication with local elected officials while protecting the rights of every individual they interact with .”
