Rep. Brent releases statement on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

COLUMBUS—State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) released the following statement prior to Martin Luther King Jr. Day:

“Almost 58 years ago, Martin Luther King Jr. made his famous ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, but that dream is still far from a reality. Systemic problems like the racial wealth gap, high black infant mortality, inequity in education, health disparities and injustice in criminal justice still hang heavy over our nation. May his dream provide us all the strength to keep fighting for equity!”
