Rep. Brent Raises Awareness for 5th Annual National Gun Violence Survivors Week

COLUMBUS– State Representative Juanita O. Brent released the following statement today marking the 5th annual National Gun Violence Survivors Week:

“Ohio’s weak gun laws are another slap in the face to gun survivors,” said Rep. Brent. “Since I took up the seat as a state representative, I have been co-sponsoring bills addressing the risk factors and proper requirements to having and using firearms. These bills have only received one committee hearing. Instead of trying to build systems to stop gun violence, lawmakers are dragging their feet on an issue endangering the lives of all Americans.”
