Rep. Brent announces more than $3 million in funding for Cuyahoga Community College

COLUMBUS– State Rep. Juanita Brent (D-Cleveland) announced today that the State Controlling Board approved Cuyahoga Community College’s request for $3.022 million in capital funds for the East Campus Exterior Plaza. The funding will go towards a contract with The Albert M. Higley Co., from Cleveland, Ohio, for design and construction.

“This money is a necessary investment to attract and retain people in Ohio” said Rep. Brent. “I look forward to seeing how this capital funding is used to strengthen Tri-C’s campus and our surrounding community.” 

The East Campus Exterior Plaza project will create a traditional campus quad or public square which will increase student access and broad community engagement. This funding will go to increase pedestrian and vehicle safety, as well as connect the campus with central walking infrastructure.
