COLUMBUS – State Representative Josh Williams (R-Sylvania Twp.) has sent a letter of request to the Perrysburg Exempted Village School District Superintendent Tom Hosler asking for the school to track and report their findings into the immigration statues of all students attending the high school.

The letter is in response to the recent allegations of Anthony Emmanual Labrador Sierra posing as a 16-year-old that enrolled himself into Perrysburg High School. It was later revealed, following an investigation, Sierra is allegedly a 24-year-old adult.

The letter reads as follows:

Dear Superintendent Hosler,

I write to you in my capacity as State Representative for the 44th House District to formally request that your office track and maintain records on the immigration status of each of your students enrolled in the high school and share your findings with my office, to the extent permitted under state and federal law. Additionally, I am requesting information surrounding the school’s internal investigation into the case of Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra.

I, along with many of my constituents, have serious concerns about how a person could present themselves as an unaccompanied minor and enroll into your school system with so much ease.

This oversight has not only put the student body, faculty, and staff at risk, but has also put into question the school’s ability to maintain a level of security that our local community and families can trust in.

I fear that if it was not for a few individuals coming forward with information about the true identity of Anthony Emmanuel Labrador Sierra, he would still be enrolled at Perrysburg High School today.

If your office requires further information or clarification, please feel free to contact me directly. I appreciate your commitment to upholding the highest standards of accountability and look forward to your timely response. Thank you for your consideration.
