COLUMBUS –The Ohio House of Representatives this week passed Senate Bill 104, legislation that included an amendment to protect the students of Ohio, announced State Representative Jennifer Gross (R-West Chester).

Senate Bill 104 would update the College Credit Plus Program by enacting a number of recommendations made in Auditor Faber’s 2021 report on the program.  Language from House Bill 184, which states that only boys will be allowed in the boy’s restroom or locker room and only girls will be allowed in the girl’s restroom or locker room.

"By passing this amendment, we are upholding the fundamental right to privacy that our children expect and deserve," said Gross. "These new protections will help create a safer environment for all students in these spaces without concerns about their personal privacy. I look forward to the Senate taking this important legislation up as soon as possible."

The legislation heads to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
