COLUMBUS— State Representative Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) today announced the release of funds from Controlling Board. The Lorain County Boys and Girls Club received $500,000 for capital improvements.
Lorain County Boys and Girls Club will add more space to an existing facility. With the addition of 17,139 sq. ft. to the existing 18,900 sq. ft. building, Lorain County Boys and Girls Club will be able to serve approximately 6,000 youth. The target population for this project is primarily middle and high school youth, however, support services will also be provided to families.
“Lorain County Boys and Girls Club is a valuable asset in our community,” said Rep. Manning. “Their commitment and dedication in preparing our young people for their futures is inspiring, and these capital funds are well deserved.”
Lorain County Boys and Girls Club has a mission to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
