Manning Supports Ohio BUILDS Funding to 55th District

COLUMBUS – State Representative Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) announced her support of Ohio BUILDS (Broadband, Utilities, and Infrastructure for Local Development Success) funds coming to Lorain County. 

Ohio BUILDS is a water infrastructure grant program created by Governor DeWine with the goal of reducing and eliminating the financial burden on localities associated with critical infrastructure needs such as the replacement of old water lines, construction of new water systems, and the installation of new water mains.

The water treatment plant located in Lorain will receive a $214,000 grant to cover the planning and engineering design for a project that will upgrade the facility. These funds will also help to improve the treatment processes of the plant and repair and replace numerous aspects of the water treatment facility.  

53,910 people throughout Lorain will benefit from this project. 

“I am pleased to see funds from Ohio BUILDS being allocated to Northeast Ohio and look forward to the completion of this project which will help provide clean water for our community,” said Manning.
