Manning Highlights Controlling Board Funding for Lorain County Community College

COLUMBUS – The Ohio Controlling Board Monday approved the release of $230,129.32 from the Campus Safety Grant Program to be used by Lorain County Community College to make security upgrades throughout the campus, announced Speaker Pro Tempore Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville). 

The funding will be used to replace and upgrade cameras and memory cards and install network infrastructure in the Physical Sciences building, Stocker Arts building, Library Community Resource Center, and the Physical Education building.

“These upgrades will enhance student and staff safety on campus,” said Manning. “It will also equip the college and law enforcement to better respond should an emergency arise.”

The Ohio Controlling Board oversees requests for changes to budgetary authority for state agencies.
