COLUMBUS – The Ohio Controlling Board Monday approved a $300,000 Roadwork Development Grant to be used to make infrastructure improvements in City of North Ridgeville in Lorain County, announced Speaker Pro Tempore Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville).

The grant, administered by the Ohio Department of Development, will fund the remediation and resurfacing of a portion of Taylor Parkway. It will also improve access to the Ruf Briquetting facility located on Taylor Parkway and improve traffic safety in the corridor.

“These improvements will preserve local infrastructure and spur economic growth by creating jobs and welcoming business to our community,” said Manning.

The project is expected to result in the creation of 19 full-time-equivalent jobs and the retention of 11 jobs.

Roadwork Development Grants are awarded for public roadwork improvements that support the expansion or attraction of businesses.

The Ohio Controlling Board oversees requests for changes to budgetary authority for state agencies.
