Manning Appointed as Chair of Primary and Secondary Education Committee
Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) appointed State Rep. Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) as Chair of the House Primary and Secondary Education Committee for the 134th General Assembly.
“As a former educator, I’m happy to bring my decades of experience in the classroom and make that effective in managing this critical committee down at the Statehouse,” said Manning. “I look forward to working with my colleagues in providing solutions on important education issues.”
Prior to her time in the House and Senate, Manning spent 37 years as an elementary school teacher. During her time in state government, Manning has had the opportunity to utilize her extensive experience as an educator, as well as her understanding of local governments and small businesses, to champion and support numerous bills and initiatives.
Manning will also serve on the Commerce and Labor and Higher Education and Career Readiness Committees.
