The State Controlling Board has approved the release of $78,269.33 for the demolition of eleven buildings at the Tiffin Developmental Center in Seneca County.
The eleven structures in question will be torn down at the request of the local fire chief because they are deemed unsafe to inhabit. Specifically, Utah, Old State Store, Clinic, School House, Cannery, four cottages including Michigan, Indiana, DC, West Virginia, a lean to, and a storage garage will all be demolished.
“The Tiffin Development Center is a superb asset for those in our communities who have disabilities and it is good to see the safety of their facilities being maintained as they continue to offer wonderful service to the people of Seneca County,” said Click.
