Click Sworn-In as State Representative for the 88th Ohio House District
Today, State Rep. Gary Click (R-Vickery) was officially sworn-in to his first term of office as the state representative for the 88th Ohio House District. The district includes all of Sandusky County and most of Seneca County.
“I was honored to stand before the new General Assembly and close out today’s ceremony,” said Click. “I know we have a long road ahead to bring a sense of normalcy back for Ohioans due to this pandemic, but I am confident that my colleagues and I will bring solutions and ideas to the table that will help in addressing some of the concerns that many of our people face within their day-to-day lives.”
Click had the opportunity to deliver the opening prayer for today’s House floor session.
In 2006, Click accepted the position of pastor to the Fremont Baptist Temple and has held that position ever since. In over thirty years of ministry, Pastor Click has served in many aspects including youth ministry, bus ministry, writing, radio, Christian education, and lobbying Congress on behalf of churches and Christian schools. He has also served as a chaplain for law enforcement and in hospice care. Click earned a Bachelor of Religious Education from Midwestern Baptist College in 1990.
Click made note of several of his priorities for the upcoming year that includes protecting Ohio’s energy grid, protecting the lives of the unborn, assisting municipalities during the upcoming operating budget year, and focusing on education and those struggling with addiction.
