Click Encourages Local Businesses to Apply for Restaurant Revitalization Fund
State Rep. Gary Click (R-Vickery) encourages local businesses throughout the 88th District to register and apply for the Restaurant Revitalization Fund. The $28.6 billion nationwide grant fund is for restaurants, bars, caterers and other food businesses that have lost revenue due to the pandemic.
“We’ve seen the entire restaurant industry impacted like never before over the past year,” said Click. “If you’re a small business owner that has faced a harsh loss in sales and need assistance, this is a prime opportunity to take advantage of this grant fund that can provide relief to our local venues throughout Sandusky and Seneca Counties.”
According to congressional estimates, eligible businesses have lost hundreds of billions of dollars due to shutdowns and health orders enacted as a reaction to COVID-19.
The Restaurant Revitalization Fund was created within the American Rescue Plan, which was signed into law last month by Congress. The fund will offer assistance of up to $10 million per business. The Small Business Administration (SBA) is beginning registration for the fund Friday, April 30, and will officially open applications on Monday, May 3. More information on the grant fund can be found here.
