Click Announces Nearly $1 Million for Tiffin University
State Rep. Gary Click (R-Vickery) announces a total of $952,000 has been awarded to Tiffin University for the Choose Ohio First Scholarship program, which was approved by the State Controlling Board on Monday. Click supported the funding through legislation at the Statehouse.
“STEM, vocational and career-tech education is something our state needs to continue to invest in,” Click said. “These investments will give our students hands-on experience and train them for jobs of the future that will boost our local economies and workforce. I’m proud to support this scholarship program funding to advance STEM learning at Tiffin University.”
The funding originates from House Bill 110, known as the state operating budget that Click supported last year.
The Choose Ohio First Scholarship Program seeks to recruit Ohio residents to enroll in STEM certificate programs with criteria selection including the strength of the regional economy and the qualified workforce.
The next State Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2023.
