COLUMBUS - The State Controlling Board has approved the release of funding for two separate projects at Terra State Community College, which will improve public safety, learning opportunities, and building accommodations.

“Terra State Community College is a wonderful resource for so many in our community and it is always pleasing to see state dollars coming to Sandusky County to help improve the environment for our future generations by providing necessary updates to the facilities they rely on,” said Click.

Via a $146,025 grant, a Math Lab on the Campus will be renovated. A dedicated lab will improve success rates in math, one of the key performance indicators of degree completion. The current lab has not been updated since the building was constructed in 1978 and these renovations are long overdue.

Secondly, $269,712 was released to execute a roof removal and replacement on the Engineering Technologies Building. The current roof was installed in 1995 and the warranty expired in 2010. A recent roof inspection discovered the need for 270 repair patches to be installed and the general condition of the roof is poor.
