Pavliga Receives Ohio Housing Council Legislator of the Year Award
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) was today recognized by the Ohio Housing Council with the Legislator of the Year Award. Pavliga received the award for her work on workforce and affordable housing in the state of Ohio.
“It is a true honor to receive this award,” said Pavliga. “Ensuring that Ohioans can afford a roof over their heads must remain a top priority for our state, and I will not stop fighting to make that happen.”
Pavliga received the award for her work on House Bill 3, which addressed workforce housing tax credits. The contents of the original bill were successfully added to House Bill 33, the state operating budget, which provided workforce housing tax credits for the Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) to provide developers with grants.
The Ohio Housing Council (OHC) presented the Legislator of the Year Award at their Spring Symposium in Columbus. The OHC is a statewide association of affordable housing professionals whose goal is to make a difference in Ohio’s affordable housing industry.
