Pavliga Issues Statement for Local Drug Task Force Funding

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) has issued the following statement for local drug task force funding announced for Portage County to support reducing drug use and provide substance abuse awareness and prevention:

“I have been a consistent supporter of fighting the drug addiction problem here in Portage County for our residents, which is why I proudly supported this legislation. I supported our state budget bill that included critical funding for this fund, crime reduction grants and millions more in funding that prioritized mental health issues here in our state.”

The statement comes after it was announced the Portage County Drug Task Force is set to receive nearly $20,000 from the RecoveryOhio Law Enforcement Fund.

Pavliga also notes that she was the primary sponsor of a bipartisan bill that was signed into law earlier this year, which seeks to address the opioid crisis.
