Pavliga Announces Nearly $400,000 for NEOMED

State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces the State Controlling Board approved nearly $400,000 for Northeast Ohio College of Medicine (NEOMED) for both a renovation project and workforce-based training equipment.
“Portage County is home to some of the best colleges within our state, and I’m very pleased capital funds are being used to enhance NEOMED,” said Pavliga. “This is an investment into higher education, our students, and our future workforce of Ohio.”
The two measures approved include:
- NEOMED - $260,000 for the Bitonte Atrium renovation project
- NEOMED - $133,166 for the workforce based training and equipment RAPIDS program for the anesthesia simulation lab
The two Rootstown measures were approved along with several others during Monday’s State Controlling Board meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 22.
