State Rep. Gail Pavliga (R-Portage County) announces the approval of various projects on Monday from the State Controlling Board that will bring substantial funding to Portage County.
“I’m pleased to be a part of a General Assembly that’s supported measures ultimately bringing in funding on various local projects that are making a direct impact right here within Portage County,” Pavliga said.
The local projects approved today include:
- Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center - $649,203 for security guard services at the facility.
- Ohio National Guard Camp Garfield - $994,030 for a new storm water system at the Cantonement facility.
- Camp James A. Garfield Environment Building - $1.7 million for construction of a new environment building.
The three projects stem from House Bills 110 and 597, both bills Pavliga supported in the Ohio House that were signed into law.
The next State Controlling Board meeting is scheduled for Sept. 19.
