Rep. Troy Announces More Than $1M in Funding to In-District Community Providers to Prevent Opioid Usage, Overdose Deaths

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced that three community-based providers in his district will receive funding totaling $1,071,316.95 and that the Lake County Addiction & Mental Health Services (ADAMHS) Board will receive an additional $179,205. The federal grant funding will support ongoing initiatives to combat opioid use disorder and prevent overdose fatalities.

Rep. Troy Announces $800K in Funding to Support Laketran

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced that Laketran will receive $800K for the Shoregate Transfer Center Improvement Project in the City of Willowick. This funding enables Laketran to begin building stronger infrastructure at a key economic job transit exchange. The site currently sees more than 4,000 monthly transfers between GCRTA and Laketran, with a large share of these trips being work-related.

Rep. Troy Announces More Than $4.4 Million Awarded for Brownfield Remediation and Demolition

COLUMBUS – State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) today announced $4,413,661 in grant funding for brownfield remediation and demolition in his district. As the ranking member of the Ohio House Finance Subcommittee on Agriculture, Development, and Natural Resources, Rep. Troy strongly advocated for the addition of $500 million in brownfield remediation and demolition funds to the current state operating budget, which had no appropriation for this purpose when it was introduced.

Rep. Troy Urges PUCO to Hold Meeting with Utility Leaders Regarding Power Outages

COLUMBUS — In a letter sent Wednesday to Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) Chair Jenifer French, State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) and other House Democrats called on the PUCO to take immediate action to address the reliability of Ohio's power grid in light of recent severe weather events that have caused widespread outages.
