Representative Troy Announces $300,000 Grant to Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers and $132,000 Grant to Project Hope Lake County
COLUMBUS — State Rep. Daniel Troy (D-Willowick) Wednesday announced the OneOhio Recovery Foundation awarded a $300,000 grant to Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers for addiction recovery housing. Lake-Geauga Recovery Centers is a non-profit agency that provides addiction treatment, support, and education to individuals, families, and communities throughout Lake and Geauga County.
“Lake-Geauga Recovery Services has done an outstanding job over the years in helping our fellow citizens address their substance abuse disorder and transition to sober and productive members of our society. I’m glad that these state dollars that I supported in the current state budget will help them enhance that stellar effort,” said Rep. Daniel Troy.
The OneOhio Recovery Foundation also granted $131,932 to the Ecumenical Shelter Network of Lake County, operating under Project Hope for the Homeless, to support the funding of social services specialists and case management efforts aimed at addressing homelessness and substance use disorder recovery across Lake County.
“Project Hope has been a godsend to so many area citizens dealing with homelessness. Addressing one of the core causes, substance abuse, that too often and unfortunately facilitates that plight is essential. I’m thrilled that Project Hope will receive these much needed state dollars to help carry out that mission,” said Rep. Daniel Troy.
The OneOhio Recovery Foundation is a non-profit organization created by Ohio’s state and local leaders to distribute funding to local substance misuse prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts across Ohio.
