COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) has been awarded the 2022 Small Business Advocate of the Year Award by The Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE). The Small Business Advocate of the Year award recognizes public officials who have sponsored, supported, or drafted legislation on behalf of small businesses throughout Ohio.

"I am thankful to COSE for this recognition and will continue to prioritize the needs of our small businesses while serving in the Ohio General Assembly. It has become abundantly clear that the state must do more to meet the challenges of workforce development,” said Rep. Troy. “In the coming weeks and months I look forward to addressing these issues with legislators from across the political spectrum.”

As Greater Cleveland’s small business expert organization, COSE offers its members networking and educational events, advocacy on legislative and regulatory issues, navigation to the right resources and solution and cost-effective group purchasing programs.

"Throughout his career in public service, Rep. Troy has been a champion for small business and a proven leader who can get things done. Rep. Troy continuously looks for opportunities to work with his colleagues on both sides of the aisle to accomplish meaningful policy reforms that make it easier to own and operate a small business in Ohio. The Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) is proud to recognize his service and dedication to our state and our thriving small business community," said Terry Donelon, Director of Government Affairs for COSE.
