Rep. Troy announces Meat Processing Grant awarded to Painesville business

COLUMBUS - State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) today announced that Weaver Meats Inc., located in Painesville, has been awarded a $250,000 Meat Processing Grant from the Ohio Department of Development.

"I am happy that Weaver Meats applied and qualified for this program. These grants will allow them and other meat processors in our state to increase capacity, thereby improving availability of product and lowering costs for the consumer," said Rep. Troy.

This program provides grants of up to $250,000 to Ohio livestock and poultry producers, allowing them to implement processing efficiencies, expand or construct facilities at existing sites, assist in training and certification and improve harvest services.
