Rep. Troy announces grant to help Sheriff's Department patrol and protect county's coastline

COLUMBUS- State Rep. Daniel P. Troy (D-Willowick) announced today that the Lake County Sheriff’s Office has received a Marine Patrol Assistance Grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Parks and Watercraft.

As a former Lake County Commissioner, Rep. Troy stated, “I always welcomed this assistance from the State of Ohio to help our Sheriff’s Department patrol and protect our county’s Lake Erie coastline and two major riversheds (Grand and Chagrin).  I am glad in my new position to be able to support a continuance of that state/county partnership to ensure safer waterways.”

The grant award coming soon to Lake County will be in the amount of $34,988.
