State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) joined his House colleagues today in unanimously passing House Bill 405, the Family Forward Act, which creates the Adoption Linked Deposit Program to help remove financial barriers for families wanting to adopt. Swearingen is a co-sponsor of the legislation.

Today, JobsOhio launched its new Community Bank Loan Guarantee initiative– a partnership to address supporting small business clients by maintaining operations and payrolls as they’ve been drastically affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Swearingen (R-Huron) to the Ohio House 2020 Economic Recovery Task Force, a bipartisan panel tasked with studying how to help Ohio’s economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Swearingen indicated his interest at getting to work on the panel in an effort to find solutions for his district.
