Swearingen Appointed to Vice-Chair of Criminal Justice Committee

Ohio House Speaker Bob Cupp (R-Lima) appointed State Rep. D.J. Swearingen (R-Huron) as Vice-Chair of the House Criminal Justice Committee for the 134th General Assembly. 

“Along with Criminal Justice, I’m grateful to Speaker Cupp for the various committee assignments,” said Swearingen. “I’m excited to hit the ground running in pushing initiatives that are going to truly help the people across Erie and Ottawa Counties.”

Swearingen will also serve on the following House committees:

·         Civil Justice

·         Finance

·         Primary and Secondary Education

Swearingen notes that serving on the House Finance Committee during the new General Assembly will be critical as they analyze the upcoming operating budget proposal later this year.
