Deadline for Seniors Hall of Fame Nominations Approaching
Do you know an Ohio senior citizen whose achievements and leadership have made a difference in our communities?
The deadline for seniors to be nominated for the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame is Friday, November 29, State Representative D.J. Swearingen said today.
Since 1977, nearly 500 people have been inducted into the Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame for contributions toward the benefit of humankind after age 60, or for a continuation of efforts begun before that age.
Honorees will be recognized next year in Columbus as part of the Ohio Department of Aging’s celebration of Older Americans Month.
“So many people in our community and across Ohio have had a profound impact on the lives of others,” said Representative Swearingen. “The Ohio Senior Citizens Hall of Fame is a great way to honor those who have made a difference.”
