Construction of New National Guard Readiness Center Begins in Ottawa County

COLUMBUS - The state controlling board has approved the release of $85,000 for the pre-construction site inspection for the new National Guard readiness center located at Camp Perry Joint Training Center in Ottawa County, Ohio.

The selected contractor will use this funding to conduct construction site inspections. Camp Perry Joint Training Center has seen numerous renovations over the years and it is necessary that the site is evaluated for any potential hazardous site history before construction begins. 

“The Ohio National Guard is always prepared to respond to the call to action sometimes amidst our worst circumstances, the construction of this new training center will greatly improve the skills of those who serve to protect all Ohio citizens,” said Swearingen.
