State Rep. D.J. Swearingen announces over $10 million for Erie County parks, transportation projects
State Rep. D.J. Swearingen, R-Huron, announced Dec. 12 that $10.6 million will go to Erie and Ottawa Counties for various projects approved by the State Controlling Board.
Swearingen supported the initiatives through legislation in the Ohio House, according to a news release.
“As a member of House Finance, we vetted the bills that are providing this significant funding to upgrade and make improvements to our parks and infrastructure across our local communities – these are strong investments for the region,” Swearingen said.
All of the projects for the 89th District approved Dec. 12 came from House Bill 74 and House Bill 687, according to the release.
Swearingen supported both bills in the House Finance Committee and on the House floor, the release said.
