Rep. Thomas Announces Total of $649K in Renovations for University of Cincinnati

COLUMBUS — State Rep. Cecil Thomas (D-Cincinnati) announced today that the Ohio Controlling Board has approved the release of $498,707.40 in state funding totaling $649K in renovations for the Rieveschl Hall Renovation-Final Phase project at the University of Cincinnati (UC).
“At a time when education is more important than ever, I am proud to announce that the state is investing in the University of Cincinnati’s infrastructure. Cincinnati’s students deserve to have access to the scientific and technological resources they need to excel in their fields, which is exactly what this project will do,” said Rep. Thomas.
The funding, awarded through the Higher Education Improvement fund, will be used to add an elevator and a fire command center, upgrade the building’s envelope, and create efficient instruction and research spaces in Rieveschl Hall. Funding this project will contribute to the maintenance of Cincinnati’s education and research facilities’ integrity.
