Rep. Thomas Announces Approval of $33.2M University of Cincinnati Student Housing Purchase
COLUMBUS – State Rep. Cecil Thomas (D-Cincinnati) today announced that the Ohio Controlling Board has approved the University of Cincinnati’s purchase of 2.23 acres for $33.2 million to support the university’s ongoing student housing needs.
“This investment represents a continued commitment to ensure University of Cincinnati students have access to quality housing as the university continues to grow,” said Rep. Thomas. “Investing in student housing is an investment in our students, our communities, and the continued success of the University of Cincinnati.”
The approved purchase will allow the University of Cincinnati to acquire 2.23 acres of property to support ongoing student housing efforts. The acquisition will help the university address housing needs and provide additional opportunities to accommodate its growing student population.
